Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a Mobile Cleaning Supervisor to support the delivery of a soft services/cleaning contract across multiple sites in Truro, Exeter, Swindon, Reading and Cheltenham.
Job Overview
This role combines home working and site-based activity, with two working-from-home days each week (Monday and Friday) and regular travel across contract locations. A company van is provided, and the postholder will play a key role in ensuring consistent, high-quality cleaning services across all sites.
The Mobile Cleaning Supervisor will work closely with the contract management team, supervising frontline teams, maintaining compliance, and driving service excellence. The role requires a proactive, organised individual who can manage people, processes and performance across a geographically dispersed contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the contract management team in the delivery and ongoing development of service solution systems, identifying service improvement opportunities.
- Maintain a healthy, safe and secure environment, ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety legislation.
- Roster cleaning and facilities staff to meet contractual requirements, including covering sickness and planned absences.
- Ensure audits, COSHH, Health & Safety documentation, SOPs and related records are completed, reviewed and kept up to date.
- Recruit, train and develop frontline staff, providing effective supervision and performance management.
- Ensure services are delivered in a commercially responsible manner, maintaining rigorous cost control across labour, materials and consumables.
- Manage customer queries and complaints in line with agreed procedures, ensuring accurate recording and follow-up.
- Complete all required reporting, administration and paperwork accurately and on time.
Person Specification
- Proven supervisory experience within facilities management or cleaning services environments.
- Strong organisational and supervisory skills, with the ability to work independently while following guidance from line management.
- Clear understanding of how service outcomes contribute to successful contract delivery.
- Experience managing business performance to achieve effective operational outcomes.
- Proactive approach to identifying improvements through service level reviews to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Ability to manage teams across multiple sites and geographical locations.
- Strong communication skills, with experience handling customer queries and complaints.
- Full UK driving licence.
