Part Time CNC Turner Setter/Operator
AMJ Recruitment are looking for a Part Time CNC Turner Setter/Operator to join our valued Engineering Client based in Nuneaton.
***MUST have plenty of Mazatrol experience and be able to work independently***
Pay Rate - £16.00 - £17.00 per hour
Shifts: Day Shift - Part Time (10 - 20 hours per week Mon-Fri)
Term - Long Term, Ongoing
Start Date - ASAP
Experience - Mazatrol experience is ESSENTIAL
Duties Include:
• Set and operate CNC turning centres using Mazatrol controls
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings, route cards, and technical specifications
• Select, install, and set cutting tools, offsets, and work holding equipment
• Produce first-off components and carry out in-process inspections
• Use measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, and thread gauges
• Maintain dimensional accuracy and quality standards to tight tolerances
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary tooling or offset adjustments
• Perform routine machine maintenance and daily housekeeping duties
• Ensure all work is completed in line with production schedules and targets
• Identify and report tooling issues, machine faults, or quality concerns
• Minimise scrap and maximise machine efficiency
• Work with a variety of materials including stainless steel, aluminium, mild steel
• Adhere to all health & safety procedures and company policies
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
• Work independently and as part of a manufacturing team
